    Murungai Ilai [Moringa Leaves] kulambu

You might have heard about murungai (moringa) and its benefits. It’s something people in Asia have been eating for generations, but only recently people in the west “recognized” it as a superfood. Not only the tree’s leaves, but also the sticks and bark are useful, and have been used in food and for medication, mainly in Siddha Maruthuvam, for ages. The word muringa is actually derived from the tamil name murungai and the malayali name muringa.

We use the sticks very much, and it’s easy to buy them in the local tamil stores, but the leaves are not always imported. Whenever we are able to buy them, we do, because we love them and of course of the benefits.

This one, ladies and genltemen. This recipe is super easy, super simple, but super T A S T Y and 100% vegan.

Spaghetti is something I’ve hated since birth. I think it was one of the most annoying things to eat, until I was introduced to aglio e olio. This is the perfect way of cooking spaghetti. Really 😉

    Give it a try!

    Mexican One Pot

This easy peasy mexican one pot is healthy, spicy and so soulful! I’ve made it several times, and is one of my favourite one pots, because it’s so easy to make, but also full of proteins and is antiinflammatoric. You can eat it as it is, as it is super filling. The recipe below serves 4 persons.

    Yazhpanam [Jaffna] Style Omelet Curry

It’s been ages since I last posted a recipe here, and I’m so sorry. Felt that I didn’t really have the time and energy to post long posts here for the past 8-9 months, as I’ve been busy with other things. Moreover I had troubles with my laptop and so. But I’m back now! 🙂

The Tamil/Ilangai cuisine is very popular among many, and if you ask me I’d say that Tamkl food is the best. I’ve tried different cuisines, but the Tamil food is undoubtedly the best and most mouthwatering. Hehe 😉
